You know how that old boyfriend (or girlfriend, or sibling, or parent, or friend) said something like: “Just get over it, you’re being TOO sensitive!” Or perhaps they told you some other variation of this annoying old chestnut like “you’re overreacting”. Truth be told we ARE sensitive. I’ll even take it one step further to say we are TOO sensitive. Let me elaborate… we’re too sensitive to think we can just ignore our nature and hope it won’t affect us.
As a sensitive you do experience the world more intensely. Therefore when it comes to running a business you’re more vulnerable to taking on the concerns and burdens of those you serve. Combine that with the fact that when you’re not mindful of the ways you’re overgiving, undercharging and hiding your light under a bushel, you inevitably self sabotage. Are you set up for success? Not really.
